  1. Watch: meet SparkTroops

Our new video introduces SparkTroops in two minutes — who we are, how troops bring high school volunteers and kids with developmental disabilities together as equals, and why consistent belonging matters. Press play to watch it here, or find it on our YouTube channel.

  2. SparkTroops is now on Instagram

Follow @sparktroops for troop moments, volunteer spotlights, and program news. No photos of children are posted without a signed photo and media release — the same privacy rule that governs this website.

  3. Registration is open — volunteers, families, and troop leaders

Our online platform is live. High school students can register as volunteers, families can enroll a child as a Trooper, and adults can apply to lead a troop in their county. Every leader completes a background check and safety training before their first session.

  4. Online giving is live

You can now support SparkTroops with a secure online donation. Spark Troops, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization (EIN 42-3722168), and gifts are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law. Donations fund troop supplies, volunteer training, and the safety infrastructure behind every session.

  5. Building troops across New Jersey, county by county

Chapters are forming county by county across New Jersey. If there is no active troop in your county yet, you can still register — we will notify you the moment a troop becomes available near you. Want to bring SparkTroops to your county sooner? Apply to lead.
